From Istanbul: Full day tour of Bursa and Uludağ Mt.
Enjoy a full-day trip to Bursa, the capital of Ottoman times packed with interesting artifacts from the past. Visit the ancient Yeşil Mosque and Yeşil Tombs, snack on roasted chestnuts and Turkish sweets, and walk around the silk market.
Starting at 08:00 from your Istanbul hotel, head straight to the port and board a ferry boat that will take you to Bursa city. Bursa's streets, the first capital of the Ottoman Empire, are filled with relics from the past, including historical buildings and artifacts that tell the story of Turkish history, culture and civilisation. The city is also often called "Green Bursa" and is filled with lush parks and gardens, vast forests, and orchards.
Ride the cable car to Mt. Uludağ where you'll have a BBQ lunch before visiting Ulu Cami (the Fantastic Mosque). Built between 1399 and 1400 the mosque is still Bursa's largest mosque. The excellent calligraphy and fantastic craftsmanship can be admired there.
You may then enjoy some popular Turkish local produce, including roasted chestnuts and Turkish sweets.
